Millinocket's Public Works Department has three primary areas of responsibility; Public Works, Solid Waste and the Millinocket Regional Airport.

The Public Works Department is located at Cedar Street. Our hours of operation are from 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday. Currently there are 12 employees in the department. The Department has a Director and Assistant Director, heavy equipment operators and mechanics.

The Solid Waste Transfer Station is located on Medway Road past the airport. The Transfer Station has a solid waste building, recycle building hazardous material storage building and areas for wood, metal, white metal, tires, and shingles. Located next to the Transfer Station is the compost area where leaves and brush can be disposed of. Our hours of operation are from 8am to 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are closed on Wednesday and Sunday.
