To the voters of the Town of Millinocket:
You are herby notified that at Municipal Election will be held at the Stearns High School, George Wentworth Gymnasium, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 for the purpose of voting on the following:
2 – Three Year Term Town Council Seats
1 – Two Year Term School Board Seat
1- Three Year Term School Board Seat
The polls shall be open at 8:00 A.M. and closed at 8:00 P.M.
The Registrar will be available while the polls are open to correct any error in, or change a name or address on the voting list, to accept the registration of any person eligible to vote and to accept any new enrollments.
A person who is not registered as a voter may not vote in any election.
Registered Voters of Millinocket may request an absentee ballot in person, electronic ABR System through www.maine.gov, written drop box or mail in request, or by telephone.
Written Absentee Requests must be received by end of business day, Thursday, October 28, 2021
Absentee ballots must be received by November 2nd , 2021, at 8:00 pm.
Ballots can be returned by depositing in the Secure Ballot Drop Box located in front of the Municipal Building. The secured box is monitored and accessible 24 hours a day and emptied regularly by the Town Clerk. The secure box will remain available right up to 8:00 pm on Election Night November 2nd.
Do not attempt to deposit in a ballot drop box in another community outside of Millinocket, this will result your ballot not being counted.
Ballots also can be returned to the Town Clerk on election day at the polling place, Stearns High School Gymnasium, 199 State Street, until 8:00 pm or by mail. If mailing in your request, you are strongly encouraged to mail your signed ballot no later than October 26th to ensure it’s received delivery time is on or before election day.
