Winners of the 2024 Community Development Block Grant

The Town of Millinocket is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Façade Improvement program. This initiative demonstrates the Town’s commitment to enhancing the beauty and vitality of Millinocket’s downtown area.

The Town is proud to support nine local businesses and organizations with funding to upgrade their commercial properties exterior facades. These improvements will not only boost the visual appeal of Millinocket but also contribute to a thriving economic environment.

2024 CDBG Façade Improvement Recipients:

  • Millinocket Floral (97 Penobscot Ave) – $9,056.90
  • Blue Ox Saloon (61 Penobscot Ave) – $20,000
  • Spoiled Hair Studio (905 Central Street) – $19,980
  • Yorks Enterprises LLC (178 Central St) – $20,000
  • Faloon (216 Penobscot Ave) – $19,600
  • Chamber of Commerce (1029 Central St) – $11,800
  • Emery Lee and Sons (936 Central St) – $3,778.75
  • McLeish (122 Penobscot Ave) – $20,000
  • Millinocket Insurance Agency (204 Penobscot Ave) – $9,024.95

These investments will help preserve the character of the historic downtown while making it an even more attractive destination for residents and visitors. Let’s all congratulate the recipients and look forward to seeing the transformative impact of these facelifts.
