Public Notice – Penobscot County Republicans to Caucus

PENOBSCOT COUNTY REPUBLICANS TO CAUCUS

FEBRUARY 21, 2026

Ed Ford, Chair of the Penobscot County Republican Committee, has announced that the
Central Lakes Republicans and the Katahdin Area Republicans operating within the
Penobscot County Republican Committee will host a joint 2026 REPUBLICAN REGIONAL
SUPER CAUCUS on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Medway Middle School, 25 Middle
School Way, Medway, Maine 04460 between 1:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Doors open at 12:30
p.m. and we will start promptly at 1:00 p.m.

All registered Republicans in the towns listed below are invited and urged to participate in
this northern county wide event The purpose of this caucus is to elect Delegates and
Alternates to the State Convention, elect members to the Penobscot County Republican
Committee, each town Caucus Chair, and other town officers, Delegates and Alternates.
Establish and ratify by-laws and collect registration dues for the state convention and
organize for the upcoming elections. The town caucuses listed below will be held in the
school following the main speaking event and will include hearing from our candidates at
the federal, state, and county level. The following towns are hereby announced for caucus:
***Participating Town GOP Committees (Existing and Forming) – Burlington ***, Carroll
Plantation, Chester ***, Drew Plantation , East Millinocket ***, Edinburg ***, Enfield
***, Howland ***, Kingman Township, Lagrange ***, Lakeville, Lee ***, Lincoln ***,
Lowell ***, Mattawamkeag, Maxfield ***, Medway ***, Millinocket ***, Mount Chase,
Passadumkeag ***, Patten, Seboeis Plantation, Springfield, Stetson***, Webster
Plantation, Winn ***, Woodville***.

Please keep in mind, not all towns above have an organized municipal GOP committee
except as indicated by ***. Contact the Chair if having a municipal GOP is in question.
The 2026 Republican State Convention will be held on April 24 & at the Augusta Civic
Center, 76 Community Drive, Augusta, Maine, 04330. This is an excellent opportunity for
local Republicans to meet and speak with those who are running for office.

This Super Caucus Event will also hold a Special Caucus to fill the remaining term
of the House District 29 seat of State Representative Kathy Javner. These Towns
that will be called together are: Chester, East Millinocket, Grindstone Township, Herseytown
Township, Long A Township, Medway, Millinocket, Mount Chase, North Penobscot, Patten,
Soldiertown Township and Woodville.
