What We Help With: Rent & Housing, Food, Heating Fuel & Utilities, Medications, Personal & Household supplies, and other essential services for basic necessities when no other resources are available.
The General Assistance program is intended to assist people who are in need and have no other resources available to them. GA provides assistance for basic necessities such as rent, food, personal and household supplies, medication, heating fuel, utilities and other essential services. All assistance granted is in voucher form and no cash assistance is granted.

It is expected that all clients reach out to local resources before seeking General Assistance from the Town. Please contact these programs first and bring documentation of your outreach to your appointment.

How To Apply
Step 1 – Call for Appointment (contact Amber or Grace);
Step 2 – Meet at Town Office with ID, income info, bills, proof of need, AND documentation of local resource outreach;
Step 3 – Receive decision (written within 24 hours).
