Our hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We are closed on State and Federal holidays.


Entertainment License

Entertainment/Amusement License is required with each Liquor License Application that is submitted for Council approval.

Forms needed – Entertainment/Amusement License application filled out.

How to obtain – The Town Clerk’s office

Fees – $25.00 which must be submitted at the time the liquor license application is submitted.

Process – Fill out the application and bring to the town office with payment along with their liquor license application. After Council approval the customer will receive their license.

Victualer’s License

Forms needed – Victualer’s Licenses are  required from any entity preparing, selling and serving food. All Victualer’s license expire May 31st of the licensing year, and must be submitted for Council approval.

How to obtain – The Town Clerk’s office

Fees – $25.00

Process – Fill out the application and bring to the town office with payment. After Council approval the customer will receive their license.

Peddler’s License

Peddler’s License is required to use specific Town Property to sell the following only: Homemade, Home grown, from the ocean or from the sea.

Forms needed – Peddler’s License application filled out.

How to obtain – The Town Clerk’s office

Fees – $15.00 Annual Fee, December 31, Expiration.

Process – This is done at the Town Office and does not require Council approval.

Mercantile/Sole Proprietor Application License

Mercantile/Sole Proprietor License is required for any person engaging in a mercantile business as a sole proprietor, and who adopts any business name, style or designation other than his or her own name exclusively, must file with the municipal clerk before engaging in the business.

Forms needed – Mercantile/Sole Proprietor Application License application filled out.

How to obtain – The Town Clerk’s office

Fees – $10.00 which must be submitted at the time the license application is submitted.

Process – Fill out the application and bring to the town office with payment.

Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market Vendor Application

The Season is each Saturday, July 6—October 12, from 9am-2pm and will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, 50 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket. Featuring ONLY Maine grown land/sea products, handcrafted artisan and homemade items, local authors, coffee, and music.

Forms Needed: A Farmers’ and Artisans’ market vendor application filled out.  Also, a Victualer’s License is required for any entity selling and serving on premise prepared foods.

How to obtain – The Town Clerk’s Office

Fees– $40.00 for the season or $10 for each Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market, money must be submitted at the time of the license application is submitted.

Process– Fill out the application and bring to the town office with payment.
