The office of the Tax Collector is located on the first floor of the Municipal Building, combined with the Town Clerk’s Office. The Tax Collector is responsible for recording and collecting taxes owed to the Town of Millinocket as well as processing and collecting quarterly sewer user fees.
The Tax Collector collects property, automobile, motorcycle, boat, snowmobile and ATV taxes. You can register a new or used vehicle in this office. Please refer to this site for required paperwork you will need to bring in to register or re-register your vehicle.
The Town of Millinocket is connected to the State of Maine’s online vehicle registration website. You can select the link for “Rapid Renewal” and register your vehicle online at your convenience.
The Tax Collector can set up payment plans and early payment plans for taxes and sewer.
